we spent those nights laughing and joking
when i was down and i was tired of hoping

with the friendship we've shared for years
but now it's like i'm not there to you

and the love we had took another form
for someone else, not for me
and all the things i've thought about to have with you i never shared
but now never can i tell you
because it would be misunderstood

i would tell you i was in love

but im happy for you
because im always there for you
